Join Sheep's Head Outfitters, Thursday, February 20th for a night dedicated to all things Carp! Catching Carp for sport has long been a popular pursuit in many places but only recently has catching Carp on the fly taken America by storm.
Dagur Gudmundsson has fallen in love with these golden fish and spends most of his time pursuing them throughout California. He will be on hand at Sheep's Head to speak about where to find them, what to throw at them, how to get them on the line and what to do with them when you do!
Following his presentation, local filmmaker Jon Sontag, The Curious Hunter will premier two new films, one of which is solely dedicated to fly fishing for Carp. Stick around to watch, "Learn to Fly" & "Wild Pig Hunt".
This event is free to the public and Sheep's Head is providing free beverages for all who attend. Please RSVP for entry.
Filson Re-Waxing Clinic & BBQ
Filson, proudly recognized as "The Original Alaska Outfitter" for more than a century, is making its way to our town with an exciting event featuring some quality wax and a delicious BBQ! The knowledgeable team will be on hand to guide you through the process of re-waxing their beloved tin cloth jackets and bags. All you need to do is bring along your item, and as you learn this valuable skill, you can relax and enjoy a refreshing beer or savor a tasty burger from the grill!
